Amy Don't call my car a go-cart!!

Have you heard the new Mini ads? I was listening to the radio when a Mini ad came on and they said "Mini Cooper....with go-cart handling." Really? Don't call my car a go-cart! What...are they trying to appeal to 13 year old boys??? Totally lame ad campaign IMHO.

Aloha Dee Mini brings back the talking car...

Automakers have periodically tried out cars in which some invisible voice muttered a couple of simple phrases in that soothing flight-attendant kind of way. Now Mini is bring it back the voice with an enriched vocabulary - not to mention some occasional sass. Mini has produced… Continue

Victoria Hanseroth-Chief Skirt Long time...

Man Alive! I haven't blogged in forever! I've been busy, not so much with Mini Skirts stuff... More so with finding the love of my life (no, it's not my Mini), getting engaged, moving from my home for the past 5 years and forging a new life. All this while working my day job and making sure to spend time with friends. I don't like to plan rallies during the height of summer, I feel like everyone is out of town or doing other stuff, so I haven't. I'm trying to come up with ideas for rallies for t… Continue

Eva Oosterwaal The MINI survey

Wether it was the economical problems in the car industry in general, or the fact that I now have my second Mini (new in April this year), MINI had decided to do a survey among mini owners in general. It contained some very silly questions, but..on the upside: it got me thinking about what i liked most about my new Mini (yes, this was an actual question in the survey!) To be truthful: it started out with the boring questions: what kind of mini, how many miles driven yet, and how many miles you… Continue

Jessica Napier Not exactly what I had planned...

Drove to Cincinnati. Got there about half an hour early (around 7.30am) and took Basil in. Got a loaner car. Sparkling Silver Cooper, Automatic. It felt SO WEIRD to drive it omg. I was constantly fretting while trying to find the clutch and I forgot how to change from park to drive several times, haha. Drove around for quite some time. Around 11am the dealership calls me and tells me there's a ruffle in the plans. Apparently they ordered the wrong roof decal and it didn't look right at all. The… Continue

Jessica Napier Newbie with a New MINI =)

Just bought my MINI on June 1st of this year. I must say that I'm madly in love. This site already looks pretty awesome from what I've seen of it too, so why not join! Thank heavens for Twitter. =) But my baby is an O2B Solid 2009 Cooper. He's very handsome. Getting ready to get a Union Jack roof and mirror caps and his white bonnet stripes added on. I hope it won't look too silly...! Continue

Carol Salomons My baby is here!

Remember when you first got you license and felt true freedom? I'm right there! This car was made for me and I gave her a true Brit family name "Hannah Woodnick". Hannah and I do nothing but smile as we cruise everwhere. I cannot wait for the next rally! If any of you are runners or walkers I am involved in a race on May 31st at Lake Balboa for the Virginia Avenue Project. Our program helps kids through the arts; writing, acting, dancing etc. WE NEED WALKERS & RUNNERS and would love for all… Continue

Amy Table for One

Written back in June when I was single. Though my relationship status has changed, my thoughts on traveling have not. Hope you enjoy this, my favorite blog. When I found myself single again at 30 I naturally dwelled on aspects of my life that will change. I actually said out loud to myself "Guess you won't be traveling as much, now" Then I got to thinking, well why should that change just because I'm alone now? I just took a long trip a few weeks ago but didn't see it as a trip but more… Continue

Victoria Hanseroth-Chief Skirt February...

I can't believe it's been more than a month since my last blog post. I've been really busy between my day job and working on stuff to make this site more interesting. I've teamed up with Ian Petrella, who is the mastermind behind a new animated series that we're working on. We'll (he'll) have something to show you sooner than later. I'm really excited about it, it's not like anything else I've ever seen. I know he and I will love it, I hope you will, too. Ian and I also shot a "How-To" video tha… Continue

Victoria Hanseroth-Chief Skirt Finally!

Good Grief! I'm so sorry I haven't updated my blog in forever and a day! The Concert for the Cure took a lot out of me, I tied up all the loose ends from it and took the rest of the year off (for the most part) from the Mini Skirts. As far as that went, the Concert for the Cure was a labour of love and a success! Everyone who attended and worked that night had a great time and we ended up raising over $800! I'm actually looking forward to planning the next one, but it will be more interactive, s… Continue

Layla Hey there

New member here, and relatively new to MINIs. I picked up Marissa "Mini" Cooper in May. She's a 2005, Pure Silver. She was my birthday present to me! I'd been in the market for a while, and built at least eleventy configurations of my Dream MINI on miniusa.com. After I'd racked up a $40,000 car, I decided the best plan of action would be to go the pre-owned route: get used to the MINI, the way it drives, all of its peculiarities and then, later, when I'd amassed road time (and start-up cash),… Continue
