Wether it was the economical problems in the car industry in general, or the fact that I now have my second Mini (new in April this year), MINI had decided to do a survey among mini owners in general. It contained some very silly questions, but..on the upside: it got me thinking about what i liked most about my new Mini (yes, this was an actual question in the survey!)

To be truthful: it started out with the boring questions: what kind of mini, how many miles driven yet, and how many miles you think you'll drive this year, what is the bhp of the car ...how many miles to the gallon etc.

Then came a couple of multiple choice questions (which you could answer with : everyday - every week - every month - every year ) How often are you alone in the car? (daily) How often with 2 persons? (at least once a week, but probably a lot more than once a week) How often with 3 persons (not too often: once a month maybe? grown ups don't REALLY like the backseat of a MINI) How often with 4 persons? (see answer with 3 persons).
How often do you use the car to transport heavy things (heavy is not the problem, size does matter sometimes :) )

Is it important for you to feel safe in your car? YES OF COURSE IT IS, however, it does not automatically mean you have to drive in a Humvee to work now does it??
What you love most about your car? (the bhp, the handling (esp. the corners :) ), the design, the color, the fact that there is no other car quite like it..etc.

But then the really difficult question: If this car did not exist...what NEW car would you have bought then?
I really had to think long and hard...... a bmw 1 series (good handling)? a new beetle (nice design?)

I am just glad they are still making MINI's!!!

I agree with you! What kind of car would I drive if I couldn't have a MINI? I think maybe a VW r32, but it would definitely be a compromise! I don't even know what I'd do if something happened to my Bluey, since she's an 06 JCW and I couldn't replace her with the same thing. Sigh.
PS: I had 4 of us in my car tooling along Mulholland last week. It was fun having the car loaded up with people!
